7 Days to Rediscovering Your Blogging Groove

I was having a look at Sue Hickton’s blog and saw she was doing this set of tasks so thought I would give it a go also, It is a set of seven tasks to get me back into the grove of posting on my blog. I won’t necessarily be doing these all in one week but plan to get through them as soon as I can. These tasks are from an article by Darren Rowse from Problogger and a simple way to work myslef back into the “groove”. Darren has a wealth of helpful information on his blog and has certainly helped along the way.

The Daily Tasks

  • Day 1 – Write a List Post
  • Day 2 – Answer a Question
  • Day 3 – Write a Review
  • Day 4 – Write a Link Post
  • Day 5 – Write a Tip Post
  • Day 6 – Ask a Question
  • Day 7 – Tell a Story

chocolate The 31 Days to a Better Blog Chocolate Challenge

A bit of background information about the challenge.

Darren Rowse from Problogger launched a project on how to improve and rework your blog called 31 Days to a Better Blog. I was challenged by my girlfriend Sue to take part and I raised the stakes by adding a wager of 1kg that the loser has to buy the winner. Sue then went on to put the challenge out to the world.

Sue and I then decided that it would be good to offer a prize (chocolate of course) to the reader who adds the best or most valuable comment. This then brought up the complication of having members of the challenge all over the world and how were we going to get the chocolate to them. So I went online and found the Chocolate Box in Melbourne and their online store. Marion from the Chocolate Box then offered to sponsor one of the prizes and offered a $25.00 voucher. James Farmer from edublogs matched this pledge and offered another $25.00 voucher. So we now have our prizes for the best blog and best commenter – or is it commentator?

We currently have (August 9th 2007) 11 people who have joined the Chocolate Challenge.

Cammy Bean Tim Davies Eklavya Kate Foy Christine Martell Michelle Martin Frances McLean Alex Miller miniLegends Kate Quinn Sue Waters Laura Whitehead
